National Pollinator Week

#FunFactFriday #FFF DYK that from apples to kiwis, asparagus to cotton, many of the plants that we depend on everyday depend on pollination for reproduction? Pollination occurs when pollen is moved from within flowers or carried from flower to flower by animals such as birds, bees, bats, or by the wind. Worldwide, roughly 1,000 plants grown for food, fiber, spices, and medicines depend on pollination. That’s why farmers are working hard to provide bee habitat. From the corners of crop circles to the space between the road and the field, farmers are using native plants to create pollinator habitat. #NationalPollinatorWeek
