Youth Discussion Meet

Annually, NMF&LB's YF&R program hosts a youth discussion meet for high school students throughout New Mexico. The discussion meet simulates a committee meeting where discussion and active participation are expected from each participant. This competition is evaluated on an exchange of ideas and information on a pre-determined topic. Participants build basic discussion skills, develop a keen understanding of important agricultural issues and explore how groups can pool knowledge to reach consensus and solve problems.

The 2024 Youth Discussion Meet will be held Wednesday, November 20, at the Embassy Suites by Hilton in Albuquerque, NM. The winner will be announced at the awards presentation on Wednesday evening.
